"Sick of my Job" Redux!

Continuation from http://www.byond.com/developer/forum/?id=522109&view=1 , from Feb '07.

Well, I had gotten a new job around October of 2007, doing Technician work. It was a nice job, however the company I'm at is pretty terrible, and now I'm being forced back into sales.

I'm desperate here: I have a lot of debt, no college degree, no MONEY for a college degree, and no time.

I don't like having to [vainly attempt to] force people to buy certain products or services, and then getting yelled at daily/hourly by management because the store hasn't hit revenue in 5+ years.

It seems like there's two choices: retail or food service. Both of which are terrible.

Am I just screwed?

If can always try and mine like agates, diamonds, or whatever depending on where you live. Also check here http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Cash_and_Treasures for more info, I am bad at explaining certain things :/. It also seems to be very rewarding and fun.

Sorry but there is no feasible way I can live off of that

But thanks for a neat idea, nonetheless! Might be a fun and rewarding hobby!

Well no problem, maybe one day you will try it and be amazed and see how you can live off of that, or you can try and do those surveys for company's and get money. Or you can always freelance.
