OK there is this guy who I had an arguement with name "The Magic Man". He doesn't like me because I was against his opinions. Well, I just started on a game called Halo: The Feeding, and this guy acually had the balls to write a hate written review on it when its in ALPHA ONE. I hadn't even added the newest host files, and this guy comes out with all this crap like "this game is s***", and "Ganing Sucks". Most of the time stuff like this doesn't bother me, but this guy went to far. When I acually have all these Halo maps, and all these weapons, and newer coding in, players will read a review that says it has no Halo maps, no Halo weapons and yada yada. So basically it will make more players not even try the game. I'm still in the mist of creating the game, I'm still at the begining of the maze, and this guy had the balls to acually write something like that. Can I request it taken off?

Its still in Alpha though, it's still beign worked on. Darker Emerald was a pretty damn good coder, I'm still figuring stuff out. xD oh. And I relized I can get it removed...

Just ask him to remake the game when its done, but i guess he'll keep it until its better, use it as motivation to just start on your on source. Hes just showing how much people dont like games using other games sources, cause its alot funner to just play the original.

From the official guilds, it may be possible to get a review removed if and only if it's really poor. But really poor reviews generally do not make it to the official guilds anyway.
You definately can't prevent someone from using their personal blog to post a review. Reviews are automatic. If people agree with them, they will be inclined to give it a "yea" which will bump it up in the review list. If a lot of people vote "nay" it may be removed from the review list (only visible by clicking "Show all reviews") or bumped to the bottom of the list. So in short, you can't request to have it taken off, but you could improve your game based on that review so people will disagree with it more. | |

I agree with Ganing on one thing though, people should not be able to review a game while it is still in Alpha stage. Maybe you should write a suggestion on the forum about it.

If a game is in "alpha" phase, or not good enough to be played yet then it should be against the rules to make a hub for it or release it on the BYOND website. If the game is not ready to be reviewed then don't release it to the public to play. Simple as that really. | |
Haha, I back you up on your well written review 100%. I've seen some spiteful reviews, in which something was given all 0's for no reason. You backed everything up, and frankly, that game sucked anyway!

Firstly, censorship is retarded, and anyone who is for deleting reviews, for any reason, is retarded. Secondly, I looked at that source when it was posted on these forums, out of curiosity, and I nearly gagged. That code is not good.
