So, I have a little problem with my sound, recently.
I say recently because I just fixed this computer like, yesterday.
The windows installation was totally destroyed by my sister, because she apparently does not know how to use a computer.
Anyway.
On my computer, there are two little sound port things.
You know how they have like, 3 plugs.
One for headphones, one for microphone, one for something else.
Well, I have two of those; one on the front, one on the back.
I decided I'd use the one on the back for the speakers, and the one on the front for my headset.
Only problem is, when I plug my headset into the "headphone" jack, it screws up the speakers that are plugged in on the back!
For some reason, when I remove the headset (and the audio reverts to the speakers), the right speaker stops working! (this is the primary speaker, the one that plugs into the wall and into the computer).
It doesn't play any audio at all.
So I fiddled around with it for a while, and I found that if I put the headphone thing into the jack on the front a few times, the speaker on the right will eventually start working again.
The only work-around I can think of for this would be to use the front jack for both, or the back jack for both, which would be very uncool.
Anyone know why this might be happening?
