I just recently installed Ubuntu 9.10 (am dual booting w/ windows). I was curious if there was a working BYOND for it? Has anyone experimented?

I couldn't find anything, and heard that the two weren't functional together. Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend stopping by the linux guild(http://www.byond.com/members/LinuxGuild), they could help you out if no one here can.

but anyway off the top of my head byond really only releases the Dream Daemon for linux servers. You could use wine to emulate byond, however I think (unless it has been fixed) the pager doesn't work that way.

I definately recommend dropping by the linux guild.
Using Wine you can run BYOND on Ubuntu rather easily. There are many issues, however, which may make it unusable for you. If you decide to use Wine, make sure to get the latest version from http://winehq.org, not the copy from the Ubuntu Software Center.
