Installing Ubuntu Karmic to USB Hard Drive:

Has anyone tried this before? I only have a 250 gig internal drive that I need all of for windows 7, and I'm wondering how well partitioning off 100 gigs of my 500 gig usb drive for ubuntu will run.

EDIT: Appears to work fairly well, now that it's installed. The only downside is a bit of slowdown then the external drive goes to sleep, and GRUB takes probably 45 seconds to load on boot up.
