Not a coding question but...

If a non-member made a game and wants to put the host files on the hub, what sites can he/she use?
You might also want to check if your internet service provider provides you with any complimentary storage. Most of the ones I've ever been with have. Although these days most of them kind of hide the information on how to access it through FTP to upload files and just give you some web-page generating program instead. At the core though there is usually still a server that you can upload your files to somewhere.

Indeed there are places where you can, although after a while of searching we have yet to find anywhere to upload them that will not produce the unzip failed alert when you try to download the game. We were hoping maybe someone would be lingering around that maybe already has used a website successfully for host file downloading.

You can put host files on any free website hosting service I bet. As long as the hub links directly to the zip file, it shouldn't be an issue.

AngelFire should suffice for this purpose. Possibly even FreeWebs.

If the game is Casual and polished, I'm not against uploading it to BYOND Casual for the user. No idea about the other guildmasters though.

Then there's simply asking other BYOND Members to do it, or for FTP access to their site.

Freewebs wouldn't suffice as being a file host for free.
You're only able to upload pics/vids or something similar.
As far as .zip's go, which BYOND requires, you can't.

On this same line of thought, there's Mediafire.

Well, I doubt you were searching too long. The first link through the Google search that Gunbuddy13 provided works fine. 4shared.com, you don't even need to sign up if you have an account with Google.
