AM i the only one having CPU problems with games on BYOND?
Seems every time i join a game it works for a while...
Then it begins to slow down, to when im almost completely immobile, or cant chat (Ill type something in text box, and it wouldnt pop up for another 10-20 seconds.)
Basically im having late movement. Iv tried it on Multiple games and i get the same thing. And i tried relogging on BYOND and it takes like 5-10 mins to bring tabs up. It cant be my browser because It doesnt lag, nor is it slowed down.
My need assistance.
It could be your computer. What are your computer specs?

Press Windows Button + R, and type "dxdiag" in the little box that pops up. Give us your OS (windows)/CPU/Memory/Graphics Card, that sort of stuff.

OS: Windows Vista
CPU: Samsung
Memory: 1014MB RAM

Samsung would be the brand/model. CPU is the Processor.

Either way, 1gig RAM says enough, you've got a real old/bad PC that isn't fit for any programs that take up a lot of memory. Does fine for standard browsing and default programs, though.

BYOND can run fine on 1GB of RAM.
I would think it's the GPU drivers that's causing the problem.
Wait for Tom to respond.

Well, would wiping the computer, and upgrading to Windows 7 help?
In response to Z3D
7'd be worse. As Flame said, upgrading drivers might resolve the problem. Note: might. What you do is do dxdiag again, and search on google for

"[Hardware] Driver"
Hardware being your Processor and Graphics Card (you can find your Graphics Card under the "display" tab in the dxdiag).

There's a beta version program by the good guys and gals at Piriform called Speccy.
It works wonders in finding out the names of your hardware and what you are running with:

http://www.piriform.com/speccy

"Some of the basic information can be found by right-clicking My Computer and then clicking Properties. The General tab lists some statistics, and the Device Manager on the Hardware tab lists all of the hardware you've got installed. But it misses out lots of information that you need.
Speccy will give you detailed statistics on every piece of hardware in your computer. Including CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Graphics Cards, Hard Disks, Optical Drives, Audio support. Additionally Speccy adds the temperatures of your different components, so you can easily see if there's a problem!"

There're better alternatives out there. Speccy doesn't seem to support hardware that doesn't have any drivers installed. x.x

Yeah, that's why I stated it's in beta version. =\
Can't wait for the release though, I've always liked Piriform's software.

7 is actually an improvement over Vista in every way. It would not be worse unless you refused to turn off the bells and whistles (which it may just disable in the first place if you can't run them).

It's the bells and whistles I'm afraid off, especially on someone not computer savvy.

I'm curious as to what you guys mean by "bells an whistles" on Windows 7. I run it great on my computer which has a sold-state drive, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 3.4GHz quad core AMD processor, and a 1GB/256bit 4870 graphics card.

However, it does like to lock up for short periods of time here and there, but I figured that's because I might have installed it wrong somehow. Never did it when XP was still on it... But right now I'm having a different issue with my monster that I need to solve.
