Alright, so for the past 3-4 months I've been looking up tutorials, reading .pdf files, and doing everything I could to learn about these languages. I eventually came to a point where I crashed and could not handle what was going on. This is not because I ran out of drive but because every tutorial I read, there is always a problem with it. They don't explain things very well, they just hand you code and expect you to put 2 and 2 together (Which is utter bull), and sometimes they even have errors in their own code! So I want to find someone out there who knows one of those 4 languages and would be willing to teach me. I'm a fast learner, and really want to learn a language that I will be able to put a lot of time in and possibly create a career with it. So far I have little experience, but some, with these languages, so I won't be huh?ing every 5 seconds.

If anyone wants to help me, please contact at [email protected].

Also, if you know another language such as Python, PHP, PASCAL, or something interesting I might decided to take your instructions. The more the merrier amirite?
Is there pay involved?

Depends on the amount wanted. If it's reasonable, there's a possibility that I will consider it.

I paid $35k in loan for my degree, so it should be interesting to see what comes out as reasonable.
Any particular reason you want to learn 4 (well 3) languages at once?

I'm note quite there yet, (still got 3years left).

But my education comes cheap. the school is 1km from my home, so i live at home. saves me those costs. in addition it's only around $200 a year + book expenses for my education. and of course food and other none school related expences. Easily managable with a part time job. I'm at a public college, (soon to be university).

If i'd chosen to attend the private college i would have been looking at $20 000 a year + book expenses and housing, food etcetc..

So why did i choose to stay in my home town getting the Same education for a total of : $ 1 000 + book expences.(for 5 years of studies).

when i could move to another city and pay a total of $100 000 + probably around $50 000 in housing.(for 5years of studies).

And all for the same education.

bleh.. got off topic. on topic:

I'd like to learn any one of them. Never said I wanted to learn them all at once. ;)

I'd settle for $25/lesson, I would be confident enough in teaching C or C++, or even Python or PHP (as listed in your alternative options).

Keep in mind that these languages aren't as simple as DM, and learning them doesn't exactly happen overnight. For the same reason, this would require quite a large time and effort commitment from your tutor, in addition to technical prowess to make sure you are being instructed correctly. Like with DM, there are programmers of varying quality that use these languages, and you wouldn't likely want to get taught by the equivalent of a BYOND Zeta/GOA/etc. ripper.
I sent you an email and tried to add you on IM, but I'm having difficulty adding your screen name and am getting errors. Do you have an alternative IM screen name?

I have many years of experience with C, C++, Java, VB6, Byond, and I have basic knowledge of C#, PHP, Javascript, Python, and some others.

I am also a certified tutor with several years of experience tutoring college students in math and computer science.
That's EMail or MSN? I added you to MSN contacts, hope you are using it XD

Also added to BYOND pager.

Hopefully I can catch you soon.

Actually, recently a few days ago I went to the local library (zomg) and found some good Java books that I will start studying. Then I believe I'll find a forum to post questions on and hopefully this will help me out.

You don't need a teacher!

I have two more years at school! And I still haven't payed a penny for what I know in C,C++,C#(which is next to nothing).

Probably these links accompanied with your patience and mother's luck, probably you can do it to the very end.

It takes about a month to learn any computer programming language fully. However, mastering a language takes time and effort. Always remember your skill as a programmer is not measured by what you know, its measured by what you've made. For example, You could make a super complicated "Hello World" program using all kinds of different object oriented concepts. But in the end, all you did was make the computer print "Hello World" on the screen. Whereas you could spend the same amount of time and effort on creating something a lot more useful and productive. And if you can't do that you can create programs that fool the user into thinking he/she really needs it as 88 percent of all 3rd party applications do.
