I want to be a programmer and make games for like XBOX 360 and stuff like that, do you think if I join this site and learn the language will help me in the future ? BTW I'm 16, I don't know if that helps.

For XNA Creators Club, which lets you push your code to your 360, yes.

If your in college and your school participates in either the Microsoft Dream Spark program or the MSDNAA program: you can get a free 12-month academic subscription. My school gives me access to both so it is nice.

BTW I'm 16, I don't know if that helps. Since you're only 16, I suggest getting into a Pre-Calc class that will prepare you for Calculus I, II and so on in College/University. These are essential to programmers, especially when getting a degree in Computer Science. This will teach you the basics of Algebra and whatnot which is very handy when creating code. BYOND's programming language is Dream Maker. It's object-oriented, and I'm not familiar with XBOX 360's developing programming language(s), but I'm highly certain their website has more information than the general public of BYOND will know. |

But it auto-generates your 360 code, so coding it on your computer first is preferred. Then when you're ready to pay the money you do. That way you'll already have a nice game when you're ready to pay. ;P |
* Only use Visual Studio 2008 with this, it is not yet compatible with 2010.
