Objects in the object tree don't show their icon state, instead they all appear blank. I'm not sure if this is something I caused by mistake but it's really irritating to work without seeing the icon states.

I haven't seen this in action at any point. There are two possibilities: One could be that something is off in the way your project is setup, which I'd have to diagnose by looking at the source. The other is that your system might be unstable and running out of handles; that would be solved with a reboot.

I created a new environment to test and it works fine so it would have to be the source. I'll transfer everything from the source to this environment and if the problem persists would you please take a look at the source?
