Well, isn't this an interesting situation? What's everyone's thoughts on this?
lol@Mikau not having SS13 as one of BYOND RPG's top favorites because some goon called him a noob.

There are three Final Fantasy games up there. Come on.

We're supposed to be promoting games that aren't popular and need more attention, not games that are too popular and don't generally need more attention.

Shouldn't the primary goal of an official BYOND guild be to display the best of the best? Usually, a game is not populated for a reason, it is not fun or polished.

We already have enough trouble trying to get other communities interested with BYOND. When I join a gaming site, I would like to see the best games available right away. Not ones that barely get attention/played.

SS13 attracts outside attention. This fact alone trumps trying to support unpopular games. It is in BYOND's best interest to support SS13.

I'm all for promoting the less popular games and even ranting against the popular ones ;), but that doesn't mean original IPs should lose guild support for merely having players.

There are popular games in BYOND Strategy that have failed to meet its standards so I can understand there being a discrepancy. However, the most I can find on BYOND RPG's standards is this thread regarding submissions. Where are the rules for being featured? It might help if they are clearly displayed and people can be told which items are not being met. =)

True, but in this case the game isn't actually losing much support at all, considering it's still advertised pretty well on other sites as well. I can see where my viewpoint is less than ideal, though, and I probably should have mentioned that my viewpoint isn't RPG's official stance, only my interpretation of it.

Yeah, we need to do that pretty quick.
I figured I should continue following this post up with new updates.
