Alright, so.. I'm not sure why this happens, or what is even going on. I'll be honest. I'm an idiot when it comes to this.. maybe someone else can help. See, when I join certain Byond games, usually those with more 'complex' skins, I guess, the lettering in the tabs grows and shrinks whenever I mouse over it, the screen freezes, any gauges or bars(like on-hud health bars) disappear. The NNG-source games, for instance? All the EXP bars, the health and chakra bars, everything. Disappears, doesn't go up or down. Then the letters under 'commands', or whatever tab I may have open grow, verbs or just information text, all of it does this. I don't know why. Soon after this, the game crashes, and dreamseeker fails. I know this is pathetic, but I'm running byond on an old gateway, Windows 98. I'd update and fix it, but I'm getting a new computer anyway in a few months. I'm just wondering why this is happening. It's ruining my favorite games. >.<

Shot in the dark here, try changing your hardware rendering option, if its on, turn of off, or vice versa. If the cause is the bars that are disappearing it may solve it, given that those are on the MAP, and not just interface bars.

Well, running Windows 98 Second Edition, old, old, old gateway computer, only 128 MBs of RAM(again, gettin' a new computer soon, didn't bother adding more), Pentium III processor, 32-bit file system/virtual memory. It's not the best computer ever, or anything close, but it works for the time being.. I doubt I could record anything on that site, by the by.. if I could change the game's skin, that'd be lovely. But.. yeah.. I can't.

Unfortunately some things just won't run well on computers that old. It's just the way things go in the world of computers.

Also, can you post your system specs?
