I don't get it. Especially in the case of DBZ. It's been like 10 years and this still seems to be a dominant theme on Byond. I don't think the Anime even shows in America anymore, my nieces and nephews don't even know what DBZ is.

What is the appeal?
I suppose, especially because in terms of the rips, is because everyone is already familiar with it. You can call it a Nostalgia factor.
People can just login, and already know what to do, because they've played the same thing 100 times already.
It's still shown as 'Dragonball Z Kai' which is basically a...a super edited DBZ they started to make in Japan, which is now shown on NickToons Network.

People usually love games that are based off parts of their childhood. For example, the old rp games that only a few of us played back then. Regarding DBZ, it's just more popular and more liable to get more players because of its large fan base.

It's a redub, that has shows removed. It has nothing added that I know of besides the new voices. And it shows on Disney XD.

On another note, they are no longer popular. MOST ARE DEAD MWUAHAHAHAHAHA!
