well turns out i have 2 routers yet the 192.168.1.1 is the same for both
so how do i get into the the 2nd router that i cant get into normally to forward a port on that also

dident work turs out that the 1 router is the internet connection but thought the other i found a way to bypass the first and find my i.p for this computer so i can host now

Lol, this is how your LAN connection works: (Local area network)
->Phone cable -> Modem ->Router -> switch -> Phone/computer Basicly, most the "Routers" out now days is Multi-Modem... meaning they have all modem, router and switch all in one. You got the opposit. A modem, a router And a switch. this way, you cannot enter the modem's IP client program. (u know, Browsing Local IP), becouse it doesnt have that installed. but BOTH of them has the same IP, basicly becouse they co-oporate. what i am trying to explain to you is that you dont have to portforward a modem if you got both modem and router. the router would be the only "thing" that should be portforwarded. just saying... |
