Weird screen flickering?

My laptop screen seems to flicker on the colors dark-blue to black, somewhere within there...the pixels flick to a white color. What is wrong with my screen? Is it fixable?

Are you sure it's your screen, or your graphics controller?

It might be the graphics controller now that I think about it. Would you have any suggestion on what to do about it?

I'm installing a new graphics driver software update.

Now I'm not sure, I tried to get an updated graphics driver and had issues with obtaining the files.
