Where can I find something aboutmaking turfs for teleporting between multiple maps.

I believe there is information on moving things in the FAQ, and also look at the Teleport! tutorial on the Tutorials page.

Teleport! doesn't really explan telepoting to other maps

Not directly, but it actually does, since each individual map is actually just a Z level, one way or another. So moving from one Z level to the other is how you move from one map to the other.
