Civilization IV

So I get home from the store, highly acclaimed Civilization IV in my hand, and ready for a pleasent gaming experience.

Have you checked your cabinet?
If it was made by Ikea, no wonder it cannot be trusted... :(

What version of DirectX do you have? Because it looks like it is trying to install DirectX, and I'm guessing you do not have the latest version. I would recommend trying to get DirectX 9.0c on the interweb at Microsoft's web page.

Actually, I think I read somewhere in the package for Civ IV that you might have to reinstall DirectX. I'll try updating later. Thanks.

I do have version 9.0c though.
