Well, I think that one thing you can do is search for turn-based tutorials... And, one question. Is there a NON-TURF BASED CARD GAME?! 'Cause if there's not, you could've just said card game. :)

Yes, there are non-turn-based card games. More common, however, than that is a hybrid in which the order of play may be interrupted.

Crazy Uno is one example. You take about a zillion Uno decks and a bunch of people. Gameplay is normal except:

  • Draw Two cards increase in number; if your intended target plays one, the next person must draw four. Then six, eight, etc. until someone is caught without a Draw Two. Play proceeds right after them.
  • Draw Four wilds work the same way. (You can't mix and match these with the Draw Two's.)
  • Skips also work the same way, except they're not cumulative. The last person is simply skipped.
  • If you have more than one of the same number and color card (it has to be a number card), you can play all the duplicates at once.
  • If someone else has just played a number/color card you have a duplicate of, you can play it (but you have to be fast!) before the current player finishes their turn. If you can play a card, play proceeds right after you.
