Is this an old joke? Lummox JR isn't the sort to reuse an old joke, is he? Did bash.org have the joke first (I checked it's logs- it only has one of those jokes, the latest one) and Lummox stole that? Nah. He's not the type- plus, it'd be impossible unless Lummox has invented time travel.
So the only possible explanation coming to my weakened, tired brain is this: bash.org stole our joke and renamed the chatters!
Why? Who submitted it? Was it a BYONDer? Was it a person who visited bbash on the off-chance? Could possibly the same joke have been generated twice, IRC and Chatters being the cyber-space equivilent of infinite monkeys typing at infinite typewriters?</3>

Woah, I have a key somewhere along the lines of Acsabh. I can't remember it though, I think it was more like AcksAbh or something because it was like my MSN or something. It seems stolen from bbash.org.

I'm with DarkView on his one... That joke is so obvious that there's no doubt a coincidence like this would come up... Just think of the hundreds (if not thousands) of times someone else has made that joke on the 'net and it wasn't recorded!

On second thought I'm with SSGX + Dark View, the quote on bash.org is slightly different - it starts with "You love her with", LJR went straight to "Less than 3?"

The BBash staff submitted a number of BBash quotes to Bash.org about a year or so ago. That was one of them. It appears as though the names were changed.

Probability is sometimes as good as an absolute...
For instance, alien life forms... The probability of some other planet out there having the right conditions to grow life is so enormous, that you'd be a fool not to believe it has to have happened... This case is another one with probability high enough (though admittedly not quite as high) to call it an absolute... Out of the thousands (millions?) of internet users who have ever used "I <3 [blank]", there has to be more than just this one who did it in the company of someone who immediately interpretted it as "less than 3"... Either simply for making a joke, or because they are dense enough to only see the literal, or whatever else... I'd stake my computer on it...lol | |
