Yes, I know that you do it with the arrow keys, but what if you press the left arrow keys how can you make an character face left too?
It does that automatically.

Dont you have to make different icons for it, like one face right and one facing left etc.

No. DM's psychic interface reads your mind and automatically procudes icons, all you have to do is think really hard and open the icon editor, and all the new icons will be there.

You mean ive been doin it the hard way all this time?

I generally don't like it when you are rude to newbies, but at least you're funny this time =P

I'm sorry you prefer to defend the person who believed his computer could generate 4 or 8 directional sprites from a single sprite.

Well thanks all, it was really helpful *cough*
open the players icon.
click on the "camera" button.
make a icon with 4 directions and one frame.
then draw your character in the square right of the 4 arrows. make suer the face the direction the arrow is pointing.

go back to the players icon (you will c your previous creation) click the "camara" again.
now make a icon of 4 directions with 3 frames.
now just do the same as before.
you will c that you have 2 empty squares next to each icon you made.
you can make your walking animation there.

example: the first icon is just a icon of your character standing, the second is one with the same picture but with one leg a bit shorter, the 3rd one is one with you character but with the other leg shorter.

now go back and you will c 2 icons.
the first one is the one with 1 frame and the 2nd one is the one with 3 frames.
right click the 2nd one and press "Edit state"
now just leave the text empty but klick on the 'movement state" box.

go back again and you will c that the 2nd icon has a big "M" under it.

Now just compile and run your game.

I hope that this helped you more then the other reply's.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
