Thanks, these will help me with my next hurdle, pixeling environments. Here are the improvements I made:

I'll work on those now, thanks for your opinion.
You can try out Aseprite, it's ten dollars minimum for the full version, but I'm not sure if it has the color modifying tools. Or you can try Gimp. Gimp is a free Photoshop.
I have made some little edits on the base, mainly the colors and shadowing here it is :

The walking animation needs one more frame after his left arm is behind him it teleport infront of him, needs one more frame in between. Punching could also use a frame or two.
Yea, the punches look somewhat forced to me too, so I'll see what I can do.

WOW, that looks epic, now I'm going to go resist copying that and try to make my own one instead.
In the end, I copied most of it.
I feel like crap.

The shading is better now, the skin color are over saturated, instead of a orange variant try to get a brown/red variant for the skin color.

Another tip. On the animations almost all sidescrollers games uses a sprite with a side perspective for the states of movement and attack.

Here is a simple example that i have made :

dem heels.

OK, I'll fix the movement and attack states and show how they come out tomorrow.
Sorry guys, been really busy the past few days. This is how it looks when I try a side perspective:

The animation is very smooth and very well done, but i still think that it needs a little more movement, maybe if you move the head a little.

Another tip is to make the animation faster.
Lowered the delay between frames to 1/10th from 1.5/10th. Can you tell me a little how you think the head should move, like bobbing or something? because it's not coming out quite right for me.
Maybe something like this :

Think about when a person widens their legs, the wider they spread the lower they get. When you walk and your legs are farthest apart is the lowest you get in your stride. This is very small when walking.

I would say when the legs are apart drop the whole thing down 1 pixel, to give it a small bob.

EDIT: Welp, Tacurumin got it.
Oh I see, thanks. Before I was thinking along the lines of his head bobbing up and down.

Haha, what you said is just what i did. One little pixel can do a lot of difference.

Yep, mine looks way better when I shorten the two stride frames
