I tried to sign up for the CD-key(don't ask why you need a CD key for a free game...) at FEAR Combat. It kept looping me through step 1 and 2. The one time I did get it to send me the CD key it took over a day for it to reach me Email. Sierra is crap and they don't try to hide it!

Next after downloading the game and installing it won't even freaking start...so I decide to check my graphics drivers. Up to date, than I reinstall Directx 9.0c(august). It installs without complaining about a newer version. Strange. I reboot afterwords. No luck, so I decided to reinstall. Reboot again, no luck.

I than decided to redownload the entire thing from FilePlanet. Trust me when I say I hate FilePlanet. And now I have to uninstall and reinstall one more time. I honstly have no clue what is going on with this crap. I all ready wrote Sierra a complaint. They have yet to send one back(it's only been a day). I am really reconisdering buying any game from them again. This was a horrible experince. Also I am well aware that people have gotten it working. I have no idea what it could be because the I know for a fact their PC isn't as powerful as mine. The only thing is they are running Windows XP and I am running Win2k. And it shouldn't be having a problem with Win2k...

Sorry if I come off as complaining a lot, it's just I have been screwing around with this for the past 3 days.
win2k is for n00bs
n00bs and kunark which are seperate things
Porch Monkey 4 Life G'!
It also told me I didn't have a good enough graphics card, but I have a 128meg graphics card and I know damn well that is more than enough for this game. Odd.
I didn't have any problems at all. oO CD-key sent right off and the installing was slow but did work.

What're your PC's specs?

My video card is a Geforce 6600 lastest drivers.(91.47)
"Next after downloading the game and installing it won't even freaking start"

Do you get any error messages at all? Or it just won't do anything?

Because your specs are good enough..
No, it acts like it's going to run than just crashes and doesn't say anything. I never really checked the event viewer or anything.(It boots into a blackscreen and sometimes a blackscreen that is a smaller res and than crashes...this takes about 10-30 seconds.)

Is it? How much megs of memory your graphics card has doesn't tell you how good your card is- mine has 256 megabytes of memory and it chugs along with FEAR, it can hardly manage it at all.
My specs. Are they good enough?

? That reads like gibberish to me. I'm no hardware expert! =p
Well the black thing is usually your graphics card...Either you don't have enough memory to run it or your graphics card can't handle it(but from the specs you posted it should) and Evi, Wth is with all those dumps.

+Your memory is like borderline. You might wanna get more for future games.
