A few questions here on what I need to know about creating my own battle system.

Q1; How would I create my own battle system?

Q2; Where would I be able to learn about creating battle systems?

Q3; What are the basic properties and standards that a battle system should meet?

I am totally new to creating battle systems and, I am intent on creating my own battle system for the remake of EoE.

I have always wondered on how to create my own battle system, but I have never been able to, that is because I simply don't know how to do it.

I don't know where to start, what properties they should have, how to go about AI... It just confuses me to hell...

So, to prevail on making my own battle system, I need to ask questions, I just hope that I am able to understand on how to create one...

That is a great place for game discussion and the such although everything basically focuses on the use of Direct-X.
