I hate assumptions. Through assumptions, I have become one of the more hated people on BYOND. I joke, and people take it seriously. I create games, and people hate them because I am newer to coding, and not as experienced as people such as the creators of Naruto games. Apparently, even rips are better than my games. People have called me a "newb" to BYOND, which I am. My key was only forged December 15th. However, people are also calling me a "noob", which I don't think I deserve to be called. Sure, I'm a grammar nazi. Sure, I am newer to coding. Sure, I hate Naruto and DBZ games. But, because of that, I am hated. I'm sure there are more reasons, but people hate me for being in their games. I attempted to create a game, and, a few seconds after someone joins, they say: "The creator obviously doesn't know the basics of code, so why should I play? wizchat is better." The point of the game is for coders to come together and help eachother. The game shouldn't be judged according to its creator. It should be judged on quality, and if the game doesn't have too many bugs. It also shouldn't be judged on popularity. But, the sad thing is, most games are. I could list two ofthese games right off the bat: Icon Ultima, Coder's Assist(my game). Icon Ultima is played by many people each day. They see people such as katari deleting things that don't serve much of a purpose, and they think they abuse. They also see me, in my game, as a newb to DM, and assume think the game sucks. Which, of course, I might do that too, in their position, but, I have added in every feature the game would probably need, such as: show code, say, and even some unneeded verbs, like name color changing and text color changing. Again, one person tells people to go to wizchat, even though I have only witnessed five people on at a time maximum. So, I ask, why do people never give anything a chance? Sure, they give things that look cool a chance. Sure, they give things that are popular a chance. But, they never stop to look at the less popular games. So far, only one person has given my game good constructive criticism, and that would be Mobius Evalon, coder of Icon Ultima. Again, I must ask, if he could take a few minutes out of his time to look at an unpublished game, then why can't people who don't even know even know what code is stop and take a quick look? |

When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me.

I think all your games suck like old fuck. You got the idea of coding from me, then you started off from there and gave me absolutely no credit... And Icon Wave was originally MY idea, but I don't get credit for that either, DO I? "OMFG A GAIM I CODED ALL BY MAHSELF WIFF NO HELP FROM NE 1 LOL!" Douchebag.

Eon, that's just uncalled for.
I could say to my friends, "Hey dude, I helped you start yourself out doing [insert job], now give me [insert percent] of your profits!" He doesn't need to mention you unless you were directly involved in the idea, such as you mention with that "Icon Wave" or whatever the hell it is. Whatever it is, it doesn't sound like it was original when you thought of it, either, so there goes that. |
