None. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Anyone can host your game by default. It's built into the system. All you have to do is distribute the game.

actually, I did that test last night with a freind on the internet. Run the dream deamon, and set a port number. For someone to connect on they need Open.. Local.. and enter your IP:PORT (or on local network COMPUTERNAME:PORT)
Look at my post from yesterday on Made a new game... now what? |
You can use Dream Seeker, by opening your game and clicking the little 'host' button on the bottom of the screen. A dialog pops up, asking for port, security and visibility information and then viola! Your game is hosted.

Wow you guys are no help. No one came even remotely close to helping him with his problem :-/
Ok look Zhacker. To host the game yourself like others have said, you must first run the game in Dream Seeker, then click the host button in the bottom right hand corner. For others to host your game, you must create a hub entry for your game, and select for the game's host files to be openly distributed. In case that wasn't simple enough, click "Your Account" at the top of the BYOND Developer's page, then click the "Your Hub" link that should appear. Either that or should send the hostfiles directly to anyone who you want to let host... |
