when i need lots of screen objects, like when making a status screen where screen objects take up the whole screen, the game lags a lot.. what i mean is.. well i have to create 7 menu backs to make my status screen and when i open the status screen there is about a 3 second delay.. i took off the menu backs and there was no delay.. my menus are just made by putting objects on the screen. is there anyway alternative path that might reduce lag?
edit, after a lot of thinking ive decided that giving an obj overlays might be a better path, but i would have to be able to modify the location of the overlay by something greater than pixels because pixels can only go up to a certain point before they do stupid stuff. if someone can help me out on this path my problem could be solved..
