Log File

Ok, I found how to make a log file, but I have 2 questions.

1. Where does the log appear?

2. How can I make it stop showing the red echo which (i guess) means it has been logged?

I don't think he is talking about coding.

The log file is saved to wherever u chose it to be. if u don't know, just make a folder on the desktop and name it logs or something. then just when u choose the Log session thing, is just find that logs folder *or whatever u called it* then save it there. and about the red echo thing. i don't think u can stop that, that is supose to come up every time to show u that u are logged into byond. I know i don't like it eaiter but i just ignore it.

If you mean the echo thing I mean, you can turn it off.

If you look down at the bottom left hand side of dreamseeker, you should see a little !. That shouldn't be clicked if you don't want to echo your commands to the main window thing.

not that echo thing, i believe he means when u log in, it comes up with

Oh nm he means the echo with the

<font color="red">Log Session: Logging to file: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\logs\log_Aug-24-04.htm.</font>

what comes on after the log session has been clicked, and the files saved. and no, u can't turn that off, i just checked.

Well, it's rather long, I'll just post the parts you need. I may be wrong about making the log file tho...

Thats a great demo, thanks i'll be using it and will ofcourse give credits.

By the way there's a bug, when you use change name it does change your name but if you check it using checklogs, it doesn't say your original name it says "New has changed their name to New" instead of "Original has changed their name to New"

This may be how you intended it to be but i think its better to give the original name and then the new name.

And a suggestion - Instead of displaying the world say log as everyone speaking, you should try to make it so you can pick who's messages you want to see and be able to see entire logs. Or be able to see logs at certain times of the day.
