As I recall you used to be able to select "Show all nodes" in the /datum listing for the map editor and such, then place these other objects on the map provided they were atoms. However this doesn't seem to be the case any more, or I'm not doing something right. Any help? (For the record I'm using atom/structure with a parent_type of /turf)

Doesn't matter how long you've spent in BYOND, a lot of (*&#;$ have proved that.

Well, I have a /Unit datum with parent_type /obj that I can place on the map when "Show all nodes" is selected. So I think that what you explained still works.

Maybe its getting confused? /turf is a child of /atom, and atom/structure would then NORMALLY be on a similar child to parent basis as turf, but then you are making it the child of turf. Why not just call it /structure? Might be it, but not sure.
