Map problems

I'm currently mapping for a game and i sent it to the coder but him and the other staff is unable to open it and only i can open it it seems. i zipped the entire folder usin winzip and sent it. after unzipped they try to open it and errors come up saying "map.dmp\Map.dmp:1:error: cannot find file" and "unable to open map.dmp" adn another about a map tree not being able to be read...all the icons are coded and all added in also...how cna this be fixed so they can open it too?

Did you zip up the WHOLE folder?

Did you send them the code file with all the objects and turfs coded and then did you send him all the icon files you used? Such errors will be present without those icons. Recap: You can't open a map file in dream maker if the map file is the only thing you have. You also need the icon files and code file that has everything coded out. The file with all the stuff like
turf
grass
icon='grass.dmi'
icon_state="grass"

and so forth.

I've had the same problem. I would zip the whole folder turf coding, icons, and the map. And the same thing would happen to the ppl i sent it.

the entire folder was zipped with coding and icons and map...still the prob exists

My friend said he had a problem sort of similar to yours, he said he had the other person create a new game and move all of the icon, coding, and map files from the original folder to the new games folder with out moving the actual folder. Just a suggestion.

Map.dmb - 2 errors, 0 warnings (double-click on an error to jump to it)


I get these errors even when trying that suggestion.
