How to set up a server.

Well, I finally got a web server with shell access. I need to know how to begin setting up Byond on it and such. Is there any tutorial on how to do this or can someone explain how to do this?

I know digitalmouse was making a tutorial, not sure if he ever finished that. If you search the forum you will find something maybe. Before you do that, try contacting the host and ask them if you can run programs, have background proceses and what is the bandwidth limit.

Well, considering the fact that the host is a friend of mine who owns the server and knows what I'm doing, along with the fact that I can have as much space and bandwidth as I need, I'm pretty sure I can. Lol. I just need to know how to set up Byond and such.
