BYOND IRC is now being hosted on Audeuro's private IRC server @ irc.audeuro.com

Click to join!

The embedded IRC uses KiwiIRC, a web-based IRC client.

You can also plug these settings into your own personal IRC client:
server: irc.audeuro.com
port: 6667
channel: #byond
##Byond seems to be "what's used", but it's nearly as dead.
I'm just gonna chill out in #byond. If anyone else would like to hop in and chat, that'd be cool.
I think if BYOND should actually create there own IRC.
Decided to embed KiwiIRC in a simple HTML document, hosted on Dropbox:
BYOND IRC in embedded HTML (iframe)
I'll idle in chat.freenode.net #byond too, I guess. Might as well have somewhere to talk in real-time.
Bumping the post.
I made changes to the original post, as the server location has changed. So if you'd like to connect to BYOND IRC please do so from the updated link.

On here everyday, great talking to other people from BYOND. Come join in.
Yeah, it's been a pretty nice place to hang out so far. I think we peaked at about 6-7 users online at a time. It would be great to have more.

You don't need to be registered with BYOND (nor have a membership) to use BYOND IRC.
#BYOND erryday

Bump.

I'd just like to let everyone know that the IRC has been pretty successful for the few clients that show up there. I'd like to encourage other developers to hang out there as well.

IF you don't like KiwiIRC as a client, there are numerous desktop clients out there that you can use including mIRC (http://www.mirc.com), HexChat (https://hexchat.github.io/), and a bunch of others (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Comparison_of_Internet_Relay_Chat_clients).

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. This is software that has been around for ages and will most likely never die out. At least not in our lifetime. It standardized the means of communicating with others in real time.
I love IRC rooms, and having one for BYOND is pretty awesome. I personally use mIRC because I'm on windows, but there are plenty of clients to choose from, especially if you are not on windows. Get in here guys, it's far more stable and has better up-time than some BYOND chat program. :P
Just a reminder that the server is still up and running. It's been pretty dead these past few weeks. You're more than welcome to discuss anything you wish about BYOND on the channel.
