I'm not sure where this should go,I checked around a little bit but decided this was probaly a good place for me to set it down. Also I can do the basic's of coding but I can't do all the basics. I'm having trouble with magic and setting how far out the attack range is(View and Oview). I've checked through the tutorials but none of them have quite taught me anything <>.<>. I have also checked the blue blook, and found out that I don't know what a loop is either if you can help me please do so.

( Note: I did try to type well with good grammar but that's about the best of my abilities. Sorry! )
Hello, and welcome to the wonderful programming language / gaming system / community that is BYOND! A very good reference for learning how to program is the DM Guide. If you read through that, I'm sure you'll greatly broaden your knowledge of the DM language, as it is probably one of the best learning resources available for DM, aside from practice itself. The best way to read through it is from start to finish.

If you have any further questions after reading the Guide, there are plenty of useful resources to help! The DM Reference will provide you with specific details about the language, and can be quite handy. Demos are a great way to boost your knowledge after you've laid out the groundwork.

Then, of course, there's the forums! The Index gives a very nice description of each particular forum. It's pretty important that you post in the correct ones so, for example, someone seeking help in Code Problems doesn't get drowned out by people making posts that belong in the Community forum. You may want to read the Community Standards so that you don't accidentally violate any of the rules ( ;D ).

Anyhow, welcome and good luck!
