The download link works fine, the 'connect' link fails, the purpose of the connect link is to allow connections to a dedicated server running the game, which doesn't appear to be the case.

The Download link works fine. Are you behind a router?

If you share an internet connection with more than one computer (A common set-up with DSL and Cable), then it must first be passed through a router. They tend to come with built-in firewalls, which could (and almost always do) stop people from hosting.
If you don't know if you have one, look for a little box with one cable going in (from the modem) and a bunch of cables going out (to each computer on the network). If you do have a router, get it's model and goto the new Byond hosting page at: http://www.portforward.com/english/applications/ port_forwarding/BYONDHost/BYONDHostindex.htm Happy port forwarding :) |
