Hey guys, i've been trying to find away to bypass a belkin router firewall........ its not working! i even went to byonds help center and entered the coding client/authenticate = 0 but that didn't work either, anyone know how to disable the firewall?
Easy:

Control panel>Windows Firewall>"Off"

He is talking about a router firewall, not windows firewall. I too had a belkin router and found the firewall rather hard to work with. I ended up just bypassing the firewall for my computer, although I would not recommend that.
Do not turn off Windows Firewall or your router's either! Read your router's documentation on accessing it's user interface and customizing Port Forwarding. You'll need to know what ports byond uses.
In some cases it's a web interface. If you can't find the documentation look online. Try going to internet explorer with your internet connection running, and go to 192.168.1.1, 172.16.1.1, and 10.1.1.1. Those are some default router IP addresses. If it asks for a password, it's usually admin.
Oh yeah, your router might not even have those capabilities, I wouldn't know because I use Linksys.

i figured it out , just went to 198... blah, went into the setup, firewall and enbabled a port, and it works now.
