Don't kno if this is the right forum but my post feels more relevant here so i'll post.
I am trying to get some music for my byond game but the midi files I listen to on the internet don't seem to have much of a beat or base (if that's the correct word) to them. I was wondering if you know of a way to get maybe an orginal (with the lyrics etc)song into a game if its possible. Or if you know any rap or hip-hop songs that have a good beat (base) to them.

Well, try using a better format. There are many out there, but the best "real" audio format for BYOND is OGG(or is it OOG, I forget), which is simular to mp3, without the legal issues over formatting. Most MP3s can be converted to OGG with little effort. If you want to keep the low file size, but really want a clear format, the mod format is simular to midi, but it stores all the needed sound clips in the file itselve, rather than using the local computer's sound card.

Well, you can always google songs with the correct file name. For example "battle midi music" or "midi sound". But if I understand correctly, you want word's in your song? That is almost impossible since Byond can't work with mp3 music but there is one way. You can find a mp3 to mid or wav converter and change the mp3 song into the file you want. The only files that i know work with byond are midi, mid, and wav. That's the noly ones I use anyways. But what happens is that the converted mp3 turns into a very big file. So when a mob goes into it, the game might freeze. So I just think you should stick with just sound music.
