I was just wondering if it is possible to clear the text panel in games. I think this would be a nice feature to have if we don't have it already.
So is this possible to do efficiently?

Nope, not possible in any way except spamming a few hundred blank lines (possibly with really large font sizes). It has been a feature request for a long time, though.
