how do you make it so that other people can run their own servers by 'downloading and run your own game' i dont know if it's clear what i mean here. can anyone tell me how?
When you go to publish games and create a new hub entry, in step 1, choose "Game or other item for players".

how are you meant to know what the url is?

The URL to what? If you mean the URL the ZIP that'll allow others to download the game, you have to upload your ZIP file to a host (BYOND membership gives you space to upload games too) and then use the URL to the uploaded ZIP.

You don't know what the URL is. You can click the "Download and run your own game" link, and then it gives you a .dms file. Instead of saving that file open it, and DreamSeeker opens and downloads the game. You don't need to get into URLs, and BYOND does every downloading and storing of the game for you automatically.

thats not what hes talking about android boy...

you have to upload your host files to a website, and then use the url of the file on that site,
ie: http://www.MySite.com/MyGame.zip

this same topic gets posted like once a week, byond should add a FAQ section to these forums

I don't mean to be redundant but...

I have read all of the forum posts that I could find about this and no matter where I upload the file or how I package it(this includes making sure it doesnt put the files inside a folder inside the zip) It always says unzip failed when someone tries to download it

In Dream Maker, go to Build > Package Files > World executable file > Finish. This'll create a ZIP for you. Upload this ZIP to a website somewhere and link to it.

Oh, wait. Sorry, I thought he was referring to knowing the URL of another hub entry.
