Help Please! Making A Pokemon Game

Hey, I've spent allot of thought into making a new game, I've always wanted to make a pokemon game,
So ive started, Yet, I do not know how to make a catch verb, To catch pokemon, I have searched demos, tryed to make one, Asked people for help, But ive gotten no were, So i need someone to help me out with this, I have up to 7 types of pokeballs, Some pokemon icons, And i have trianer icons, Ive got turf icons, I have lots. Got everything i need so far.
Just need a bit of help here,

So Please, Help?

Depends on how you want to do it(there are plenty ways). Describe what you have in mind in more detail.

I would like a trainer able to use a pokeball in there inventory on a pokemon.
types of balls:
Pokeball - Able to catch lvl 5 - 20
great ball - 30 - 45
Ultra ball - 45 - 65
master ball - Any

And the owner has a verb wich lets them se who there pokemon are.
And the pokemon has its owners name in its name in bracets.

(Pokesmon and Trainers will be real people not NPC's)

I don't like games where the pokemon is a real player lol. I perfer the other way. Pokemons as NPC.
