If you're not on a router, and users can not connect. The only explanation I can give is a firewall. Do you use Windows XP? If so, that has a built in firewall which does cause trouble to many users. My suggestion is to disable it.

To disable it, hopefully your settings are somewhat similar to mine. (Windows XP Service Pack 2.)

Click on Start.
Go to Control Panel.
Double Click - Windows Firewall.
Set it to "Off (Not Recommended)."
Okay

If the problem persists, tell me and I'll see if I can help.

Actually, it just occured to me, you never actually said users couldn't connect. You said it wont go live. Have you got the necessary code inside your project to connect it to your hub?
world/hub = "YourKey.YourGame"

Put that in your game, under your world declaration and set YourKey to your key and YourGame to your game.
See if that makes it go live.

The easy way to see what is wrong.
Host the game, and give the IP address and the Port to a user and see if they can connect manually.
eg: byond://202.76.166.212:4000
That's the connection string to any servers/games I host.

Hey....You want to make sure your windows firewall is down to. Here is how on windows XP.
start>control panel>security center If it shows windows firewall on then disable.

*waves hand* already covered that.

And I think Security Centre is a Service Pack 2 thing.
