So the office AC is out. And it's summer in Dallas. Yesterday, our floor got up to 84 (100+ outside) degrees, which really sucks because all the staff attorneys have to wear shirt and tie. So we were dying. Fortunately, the managers decided to close the building for the day at 2:00 pm. Which was pretty cool, because I went swimming to cool off.
So here we are today. It's already at least 80 degrees and it's 9:30 in the morning. OHSA recommends an office temperature of 68 to 76 degrees. I am in good shape (I am young, workout regularly, eat a balanced diet, drink lots of water, etc.) and I'm miserable. I can't imagine how this is going over with some of the staff who have health issues.
I need to get a fan for my office.....

New York (where I live) lately has been 90 degrees and up, and extreamly humid. Yesterday it was about 100. 85 isn't so bad :S (100 isn't so bad for me as long as I'm home, I have a pool in my backyard.

Ya ya? Here in Snyder Texas the norm has been 100. Luckily we have been having some rain showers, and the heat has been going away :P

It's raining here and I'm fucking cold. For the past few days the hottest it's been getting though is in the low 80s. But that's still hot as hell for where I live. (Alaska) No, just kidding I live in a colder region of Southern California.

Yeah, I was talking about the *indoor* temperature. Outdoors it's over 100 (103, I think).
With no air conditioning, the temperature inside shoots up. Oh well, at least I am not one of the poor SOBs who has to work outside in this heat! |
