Its not really a code bug, but my game is 4.7mb(I think thats small), and when my friend(With cable internet) hosted it and 10 people joined, it lagged like crazy! Any tips on reducing lag(majorly)?

Yes; stop thinking 4.7MB for a resource download is small. It isn't. Whatever's taking up that much space in your files, you need to trim it way down. That means use .ogg files instead of .wav, use Mod-format music instead of .wav or .ogg (or better yet use .oxm), and be sure you're not including any BMP files when you could include PNGs or JPEGs instead. I don't really think its the internet connection that counts it s really how fast his computer is... like how much ram he has i recommend buying more ram or having someone with a faster computer host for you like me [email protected] if it laggs for me it will lagg with anyone

You really should post your PC and internet specs. Because I'd bet money that a dedicated shell sever would do a way better job than you.

I really doubt that beats my HP Integrity Superdome its got over 2 teribites of memory thats right ram thats what you get when your hooked into your dads computer programing company these two towers are more powerful than any in the state of Utah even the dell call company is less powerfull

Yes, I'm sure having a lot of memory makes the computer fast.
*cough* Regardless, the problem is the connection. Make your rsc file smaller. |
In addition to what Lummox said about the file size, you might also want to try Clean Compiling.

or get someone with a better connection..
