how do i make games like it? like... make them attack, jumps, walk/runs..

with the new byond, i can import gifs of the player of my chooseing, but in the game he isnt his right size.. but if i make a mob of him, then put him on the map, THEN he looks the right size... so how do i make a 2d fighting platform game on byond?
