Well, since the membership drive started there has been a massive surge of generosity, philanthropy, and bonhomie on the part of the more fortunate members of our community, who have made numerous gifts and donations of deserving folks and cherished friends who are without the means to pay.

Being the kind and generous spirit that I am, I have decided it's time to do my part and pitch in.

The only obstacle to me exercising my deeply ingrained giving streak is that I uniformly loathe all of you who make up the mewling, crawling, grasping mass of... uh, that is, I have been away from the community for some time and I have yet to form any deep attachments on which to base my generosity.

So I've decided to hold a series of contests... one or two a month... and buy a membership for somebody who has the best answer to a question, or writes the best something, or something.

The only problem with this is that I'm stretched pretty thin creatively and don't have the wherewithal to come up with a decent question or contest. Sooooo....

I will award a free membership (free to the member, it still costs me $15) to the person who sends in the best idea for a membership contest, question, or theme for a future membership giveaway.

E-mail your entry to [email protected]... the subject MUST be the single word MEMBERSHIP, all in caps, or your entry will be deleted unread and your inability to follow simple directions mocked. Current members are not eligible for the prize but may designate another recipient. Make sure to include your BYOND key... or the key of the person you're entering for, if you already have a membership.

All entries must be received by 23:59 CST (Central Standard Time, Greenwich -6) on July 4th in order to be considered. Judgement may be rendered at any time following that.

The winner will be announced on this blog. Even if I do not choose your idea as the winner, I retain the right to use your idea, in part or in whole, for a future giveaway... and I may award the prize to somebody who's idea is interesting or amusing but not actually use it.
