Can the map have a auto save feature that can be enabled or disabled? Kinda sucks when you forget to save and have to start all over.

You could make a habit of pressing Ctrl+S once in a while. How are you closing Dream Maker without saving your files in the first place? If it's crashing, it's more important to fix that than add this, I'd expect.
