I was coding and ran into a problem I've tried several ways to get icon names out of the overlays list but I have failed. If its possible any suggestions on how to do it?

You're not supposed to actually access and interact with the values inside overlays/underlays anyway, since they're in a special format, but getting the icon/state and as such is something you CAN do, though it is probably less preferable than more reliable methods.
