Walk_to still causes an extensive amount of lag. :S

Doubtful, try using profile world and check what exactly is causing the lag.

Well, it definitely was that.

Oh well, I've decided to use Lummox Jr's get_aprox_dir procedure as the base movement, then if they bump dense objects, they use step to.

Well, it certainly didn't lag once I removed it and used a more basic function...
