Hide vars from the editor?

Is there any way to hide variables from being displayed in the Map Editor's variable editor? It would be nice to restrict the editor to displaying ONLY variables that you'd actually want to edit, rather than variables that are only for runtime use.

Un-check the "show all nodes" check box at the bottom-left in the map editor haha ^-^

I'm pretty sure he's referring to instances Spunky Girl >_>, if it's that case it's not possible for a variable to be hidden.
