You could take the easy way out and just take a screenshot of the minimap in the map editor, or you can do it the more difficult way, which involves taking every obj/turf/whatever in the world and drawing a map with it yourself at runtime. There's a demo on the latter, and the former is pretty easy and probably better unless people are going to be constantly building or something in your game.
