Ok, I need a way to hide my ip while hosting, because there has been some issues before. Maybe BYOND can hide hosters ip. So please really help, tell me if a IP Hider works. So...please and thank you.
You cannot hide IP's while hosting. even if you registered a no-ip type thing it would should your real IP in connection, or people could use ping "addr.no-ip.org" to figure it out in command prompt.

I'm curious as to why this is even a concern. You can't find someone's location based off of an IP without some insane hacking utilities.

Like, typing "IP trace" into Google and clicking "I'm feeling lucky"?

Cant BYOND do something about that? Or atleast add a option on Dream Deamon to hide ip.

No, if you're letting someone connect to your computer they will know your IP regardless of how you try to hide it. Simply because their computer MUST know your IP to interact with your computer.

Is there a rule in your house or something saying that you arent aloud to tell anyone your IP? Is that why you ask?

Can you invite somebody to your house without letting them know your address?
Here's an exercise you can follow along with.
  1. Join a BYOND game (say, Chatters).
  2. Press Windows Key+R. The Windows Key can generally be found near the bottom-left of your keyboard.
  3. In the prompt, type "cmd"
  4. Type "netstat -b -n"
  5. Find the IP/Port combinations by "dreamseeker.exe"
In order for your computer to connect to another computer (say, to join a hosted game), it needs to have an IP address and port. This is one method (of many) which you can use to have Windows tell you the IP/port combinations it's connected to, and which processes they belong to.

That will never reveal the street address at which the computer with the traced IP address is located, though; it merely tells you the location of the person's ISP's central

While you're doing that I'll create a GUI Interface with Visual Basic, see if I can track an IP address.

Heh heh, CSI New York failed so hard with that line.
Doesn't do much but if someone is dumb enough to not figure out a loop through this, it should help.. http://www.dyndns.org

Yeah. I type in my IP, all it states is what state I live in. Big whoop, several million people live in my state.
