So I've worked on two different games with Topic() now.., and with both of them, the game freezes the first time a client calls browse() or output(). Once, I heard the sound of mouse Clicking something till it unfrooze. I don't know if it simply lags the client or the server though.

Sometimes happens to me, but it's more of a your-computer-side 'd thing, usually happens when you run to many things at once.

That describes me pretty well, with MSN, BitTorrent, BYOND, DreamMaker, DreamDaemon, A few Google Chromes, and if I'm lucky, a few browsers.

Why more then one Chrome?

I only have one chrome open, but when you have more than one tab, Windows sees it as more than one program. (At least in the task manager) I normally have like..10 tabs in Chrome because I don't feel the need to close them..

That's essentially the 'main highlight' of Google Chrome. Each tab opens up in a separate process; this is to make the browser more "stable" so that if one of the tabs causes a crash, most of the time only that one tab will be gone instead of all of them.
[Really, an interesting approach they took, boasting that "when it crashes, you'll only lose one tab!" (which happens to be done by flooding your computer with many different processes), instead of working on actually making the browser stable so they can say "it doesn't crash!".] |
